Piani Resinelli is a tableland that extends from the foot of Grigna Meridionale, known also as Grignetta, to the western side of Valsassina to about 1,400 metres altitude. It is easily reached from Lecco, and it is celebrated for its healthy air, sunny location and quiet atmosphere.
Soldanella Refuge stands a little above the central part of Piani Resinelli, in front of the Corno del Nibbio, in a slightly elevated position that guarantees one of the best views of the area and the start of numerous paths. The natural context in which it is located means there are plenty of fun things to do and sports on offer from the mountains, and at the same time it offers an ideal place to stay to relax and to have something to eat to regain your strength.
For those who want to take time out to relax staying close to the tableland, the area offers walks through green areas, activities to come into contact with nature, excursions to discover the flora and fauna on easy paths even in winter on the snow. There are lots of things to try out, especially with children (see below Having fun in Resinelli).
There are the classic mountain activities for mountain lovers: hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking and cycling; and what’s more in winter, cross country skiing trips and snow shoe tours with a guide if desired.
And at the Refuge we have lots of entertainment such as evenings dedicated to star gazing, activities for kids, and even days just stretched out in the sun with a good book to reinvigorate yourself from the stress of daily life.
