The Refuge is a great support base for those who venture upon the mountains; the tracks or the rock climbs of various difficulties, in this Alpine area with an ancient history. The Gruppo delle Grigne was the first to be chosen by the pioneers of Milan mountaineering, who in the distant 1899 built our very own refuge as the first shelter at the foot of the rock faces.
We have created energy-boosting breakfasts and hearty yet healthy refreshments for sportsmen and women, in line with the philosophy of mountain lovers and the traditions of the places.
Besides welcoming daily visitors or those who choose to stay longer, the Soldanella, like any Alpine lodge, helps mountaineers and hikers when necessary, both for a simple rest and in conditions of real difficulty. In cases of emergency, the Refuge serves as a reference point for the coordination of rescue missions and other related operations.
